Notarial services (Chinese Consulate General in Barcelona)

The Chinese Consulate General in Barcelona provides notarial services for Chinese citizens living in Catalonia (180 continuous days, permanent or long-term residence, or a long-term work or study visa): powers of attorney, declarations (for example, travel consent or single status), fingerprints, signatures on court documents, marriage certificates and others. You bring the application form, your Chinese passport and Spanish residence card (originals and copies) and the documents for each type; the power of attorney or declaration is signed in person in front of the official, not beforehand. Since 27 October 2025 appointments and pre-checks are made in the "中国领事" app and email appointments are no longer accepted. It costs €19 per original (€6 per copy) and is collected on the fourth working day; urgent service €40 or €50; payment by card, Alipay or WeChat, not cash. In principle, notarial acts on the sale or inheritance of property, company matters or loans are not provided.
