Reporting lost or stolen documents in Catalonia (Mossos d'Esquadra)

In Catalonia the police force is the Mossos d'Esquadra. A report for lost items or for stolen documents or items can be filed online only if the victim cannot give any information about the perpetrators (did not see them and cannot identify them) and suffered no physical violence. Afterwards you must go to the police station chosen in the form to validate and sign the report: for it to have legal effect, it must be signed within 72 hours; you can book an appointment. You can also report directly at a Mossos d'Esquadra station, with or without an appointment. It is free. You are advised to bring an identity document of the person reporting (DNI, NIE, passport or driving licence, or another one different from the lost or stolen one) and invoices or photos of the items; for thefts, also the serial numbers or the phone's IMEI.
