What it is
Foreign nationals with a foreigner identity card (TIE) must report in person, within one month, to the police station or the police services at the Oficina de Extranjeros where they live, any change of habitual address or nationality and any change in family or other circumstances affecting the card details; if they are asked to, within fifteen days. There is a free form for this, "Comunicación al Registro Central de Extranjeros de cambios de situación", addressed to the Oficina de Extranjería or the police station of the province, submitted as an original and a copy together with the documents proving the change. If your address has changed when renewing the card or requesting a duplicate, you provide an updated padrón certificate (volante or certificado) less than three months old.
